WORK EXPERIENCE

2011- Present: Attorney-at-Law/Legal Consultant for SK&P Cambodia Law Group and Representative for Inter-Country Adoption for Amici de Bambini (Friends of Children, Italian Organization)

 

Legal Consultant (Duty and Responsibility)

  • Coordinate with government concerned ministries, government counterparts and other relevant stakeholders to support the advocacy and capacity building project
  • Contribute to the development of workshop/training materials and provide written translation documents or training materials and coordinate/facilitate/conduct the training/workshop.
  • Provide legal consultation to the clients in SK & P Law Group.

 

International Adoption Representative (Duty and Responsibility)

  • To carry out everything necessary for the fulfillment of the official mandate assigned on the conditions of the present agreement.
  • To keep up a proactive collaboration with the Cambodian Authority, in transparent and correct modalities.
  • To inform Ai.Bi., periodically, on the activities carried out.
  • To undertake, in loco, all the activities in order to develop the Inter-County Adoption including the accompaniment of the adoptive families during the procedures in the foreign country and, previously and afterwards, follow the running of the documents necessary for the adoption.
  • To get in touch with the local Authorities, the institutes, the Cambodian bodies active in this field of work, the private organizations that work in the sector and the other bodies involved in the fields of adoption and international cooperation in order to enable possible future agreement and common planning. Moreover, as foreign referent, he/she will perform as translator and interpreter.
  • To carry out all the above-mentioned tasks without causing any kind of prejudices in the interest of AiBi and to act in behalf of the organization in obedience to the inspiring principles and the statutory purposes of it, with the maximum of transparency and correctness.

 

2006-2010: Senior Program Assistant of Legal Protection Unit, Child Protection Program, United Nations Children’s Fund, Cambodia Country Office (UNICEF)

Duty and Responsibility:

  • Assist the Child Protection Specialist in charge of the Legal Protection Project in identifying and formulating projects with local counterparts with respect to capacity-building, advocacy and awareness-raising activities
  • Provide support and assistance to governmental and NGO counterparts in organizing, implementing and evaluating capacity-building, advocacy activities.

May 2004- December 2005: National Consultant for Child Rights Project and Program Officer for Work Relation Group (Arbitration Council Support Project) for Community Legal Education Center.
